Aims and Objectives

Primary objective is to support the vision for the IT professionals, which identified technology as both a core competency and a core service of the profession. Participation in the IT community will help to enhance general technological competency, as well as the quality of technology and technology-enabled services provided by members. To meet this overall goal, the Community aims to:

  • Provide members with the tools to help them enhance their competency and allow them to share best practices
  • Serve as a comprehensive resource for information and education about new technologies to the IT Community
  • Raise awareness about the importance of demonstrating expertise of technology issues, and attaining the IT credentials including Microsoft, Sun, Linux, Novell, IBM, CISCO etc certifications.
  • Provide information about the community members' activities to the government or private sectors.

    ELITE is proud to present you with Hands On Lab sessions on Microsoft technologies! The focus of doing hands on labs are to educate participants of various Microsoft technologies out there, and giving them hands on sessions to familiarize them with the technologies and features.

    Our first session of Hands On Lab is listed as below:

    Topic: Overview of Hyper-V & System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)

    Objectives

    Virtualization is the future of IT world. In this seminar will briefly describe the overview for Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V technology and the power of System Center virtual machine manager 2008. After this seminar, the participants should have more basic understanding on Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V technology and as well as System Center Virtual machine manager 2008.

    Presenter

    Paul Chin (MCSE (NT4, 2000, 2003), MCITP: Enterprise Administrator, MCTS: Windows Server 2008, Hyper-V)  currently work as a Consultant in Max Solution (M) Sdn Bhd. Has been work for System Management Solution for years, and now focusing on Microsoft Virtualization technologies. He has involved numbers of design and implementation projects in both government and private sectors. He has delivered Windows Server 2008 Virtualization RDP (Rapid Deployment Program) to the customer during Windows Server 2008 beta 2.
